Mahesh Bhatt Admits He’s Done with Directing After Sadak 2: ‘I’m a Dinosaur’ | Bollywood

Arrey yaar, Bollywood ke duniya mein kabhi drama khatam hi nahi hota! So, aaj mein le kar aayi hoon ek aur badi khabar straight from the world of glitz, glamour and gupshup. Ready ho jao, because Khabree Kiran is here to spill some masala!

Mahesh Bhatt Bids Adieu to Direction—For Real This Time!

Mahesh Bhatt ji, the big boss of Bollywood direction, had once vowed to hang up his directorial boots. But, kya karein, old habits die hard, right? He broke that vow with Sadak 2 in 2020, starring his laadli beti Alia Bhatt. Aur ab, he’s once again saying tata-bye bye to directing. Haan, sahi suna aapne!

In a recent chit-chat with MoneyControl, he admitted that he’s too ‘outdated’ for today’s filmy duniya. Kya baat hai, Bhatt Saab! Aapne toh sach mein apne aapko outdate kar diya! 😜

Sadak 2 Was a Rocky Road!

When asked if he’d direct Alia again, Bhatt Saab burst into laughter. "Arrey bhai, pehla collaboration hi disastrous tha!" he chuckled. Sadak 2 wasn’t exactly the blockbuster everyone hoped for. "Mujhe laga tha, yeh toh easy peasy hai, but alas, film critics ne toh band bajaa di!" he lamented.

He further added, "I’m done with directing. Ab main wahi karunga jo main best karta hoon—mentoring!" Well, mentorship is no small feat, especially in an industry where egos are bigger than budgets!

Bhatt Saab, the ‘Extinct Volcano’

In an interview with Indian Express, Bhatt Saab described himself as an ‘extinct volcano’. "Mere andar woh thirst nahi hai to leave footprints on the sands of time," he confessed. "Vikram main hai, Avika main hai, but I’m outdated, a has-been!" Arrey, Bhatt Saab, thoda zyada harsh nahi ho gaye aap? 😅

Mentoring is the New Directing

Now, Mahesh Bhatt is all about helping others shine. "Making people realise their own potential is way more challenging and gratifying," he believes. Aur kyun na ho? Mentoring is like being the puppet master, pulling the strings from behind the curtain. 🎭

Latest Kaam Ki Baat

The Bhatt legacy continues with the thriller horror Bloody Ishq, penned by none other than Mahesh Bhatt himself. Directed by Vikram Bhatt, the film stars Vardhaan Puri and Avika. Yeh show Disney+ Hotstar pe 26 July ko premiere hua. Dekhna na bhoolna!

Kiran’s Gyan:

Arrey Bollywood walon, ek baat yaad rakhna: Purani jeans aur directorial skills, dono hi kabhi outdated nahi hote. Bas fit hone chahiye! So, let’s keep rocking and rolling, whether behind the camera or in front of it!

That’s all for today, filmy keedas! Stay tuned for more masala, gupshup, and a little bit of Kiran’s Gyan. Keep it real, keep it filmy! 💃🎬🍿
