Namaste, doston! Khabree Kiran here, your one and only Bollywood snoop, bringing you the latest tadka from the tinsel town. Today’s dose of masala features none other than the evergreen Mandira Bedi, who took a trip down memory lane to remember her late husband, Raj Kaushal, on his birth anniversary.
A Stroll Down Memory Lane
Mandira Bedi, the queen of multitasking and a true Bollywood diva, decided to share some heartfelt moments on Instagram in remembrance of her late husband, Raj Kaushal. With a heavy heart and moist eyes, she posted a montage of their cherished memories together. Oh, the feels! ❤️ Check out the Instagram post here:
https://www.instagram.com/reel/correct_identifier/Mandira wrote, "Happy Birthday Raji.. it’s been more than 3 years since you left us. 💔 We think of you and miss you every day.. But on your birthday, we think of you a little bit more and celebrate you a little bit more."
She added, "And the MANY things that made up the wonderful you: your selflessness, your contagious energy, your kindness, your booming voice, your big, huge, loving Heart… ❤️ We think of you fondly and miss you sorely as we celebrate you today on the day that you were born." Talk about an emotional rollercoaster! 🎢
The Eternal Grief
Mandira opened up about her eternal grief in a recent interview. "There are moments when we remember him because of a song. I’ve done the therapy I’ve needed to, there are times I still do it. As human beings, we are always a work in progress… What I can do now is talk about it. It makes me emotional, but I can. There was a time I couldn’t. But I won’t break down… I started working two months after it happened… I have to support my family and myself. I need to do it for my children," she confessed in an interview with Humans of Bombay.
Raj Kaushal: The Man Behind the Camera
Who was Raj Kaushal, you ask? Raj was not just Mandira’s better half but also a filmmaker with several notable films under his belt, including Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi and Shaadi Ke Laddoo. The duo tied the knot in 1999 and welcomed their firstborn, son Vir, in 2011. The family grew when they adopted their daughter Tara in 2020. Sadly, Raj left us too soon after suffering a heart attack on June 30, 2021.
