New Delhi: Meghna Gulzar, our beloved filmmaker, served up a slice of nostalgia and warmth on Instagram that had the whole internet buzzing. She shared a rare family photo featuring her legendary parents, Rakhee and Gulzar, with the caption, "Samose, chai aur baarish…Bliss!" (For those of you who don’t speak the language of rain and snacks, that’s Samosas, tea, and rain…Bliss). And honey, if that isn’t the perfect trifecta for a cozy day, I don’t know what is! 🌧️☕🥟
Of course, the Bollywood brigade couldn’t resist chiming in. Vikrant Massey, ever the emoji enthusiast, dropped some heart and evil eye emojis. 🎭 Meanwhile, singer Rekha Bhardwaj chimed in with a "Mashallah," because why not? One fan even declared, "Chai and Gulzar Sahab – unparalleled." Well, no arguments there, darling!

Now, let’s talk about Meghna herself. She’s the brains behind critically acclaimed films like Talvar, Filhaal…, Just Married, Dus Kahaniyaan, and Chhapaak. And who can forget Raazi, the 2018 hit starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal? Yes, Meghna, we see you and your directorial prowess! 🎬💥
Last year, she directed Sam Bahadur with Vicky Kaushal (again!), Sanya Malhotra, and Fayima Sana Shaikh. Clearly, Vicky is her muse. Can we blame her? The man can act!
As for Gulzar, the man needs no introduction. Starting as a lyricist for Kabuliwala, he’s penned some of Bollywood’s most iconic songs. And let’s not forget his directorial gems like Ijaazat, Aandhi, Mausam, Khushboo, and Angoor. His last directorial venture was Hu Tu Tu in 1999. If you’ve never heard of these films, do yourself a favor and get to binge-watching!
Rakhee, on the other hand, has a filmography that reads like a Bollywood hall of fame: Jeevan Mrityu, Tapasya, Kabhi Kabhie, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Shakti, and Baazigar, to name a few. She’s not done yet, folks! She’s set to grace the screen in the Bengali film Aamar Boss. Talk about a boss lady! 👑
