Mirzapur Magic: Shweta Tripathi Now Avoids Doorbells; Rasika Duggal’s Electrician Fears

Hey there, Bollywood aficionados! It’s your favorite Bollywood Newshound Nisha here, ready to spill the tea on the latest happening in Tinseltown. Grab your popcorn because this one’s a doozy!

Mirzapur Season 3: Fame, Fears, and Funny Moments – The Cast Speaks Out

So, folks, the much-anticipated third season of Mirzapur dropped today, and it’s causing quite a frenzy! Our beloved stars Shweta Tripathi Sharma (aka Golu Gupta), Rasika Dugal (aka Beena Tripathi), Anjum Sharma (aka Sharad Shukla), and Priyanshu Painyuli (aka Robin) dished out some juicy tidbits in an exclusive chat with yours truly. 🎬✨

First up, Shweta spilled the beans on how their characters have become so iconic that opening the front door has turned into a mini-thriller! Apparently, Rasika got so spooked by an electrician at her home that she had to call her hubby back for moral support. And let’s not forget Shweta’s PSA: Kids under 18, this show ain’t for you! Sorry, kiddos. #MatureContent

The Characters: Love ’em, Hate ’em, Can’t Forget ’em

Shweta chuckled, "Hearing ‘Golu Di’ or ‘Golu Don’ from fans is a blast. It shows how much love the fans have for the show and our characters."

Rasika added, "My character has made such an impact that people can’t accept me in any other role. Typecasting, much?"

Priyanshu shared, "With the beard and mustache I sported on the show, even airport security gives me the side-eye, asking when the next season is coming. Popularity has its perks and quirks!"

Anjum reminisced, "Even after 3-4 years, people still remember every character vividly. When they see me, they rack their brains trying to recall where they’ve seen me before. Then it clicks—Mirzapur!"

Funny Moments: Because We All Need a Laugh

Shweta recounted, "Everywhere I go, people share their binge-watching plans with me. It’s surreal! Once, in Banaras, people at Kashi Vishwanath temple were like, ‘Gajgamini Ji, you’ve arrived! When are the others coming?’ And now, opening the front door has become a mini-adventure. Delivery boys and workmen are like, ‘Do you really live here?’ I feel like saying, ‘Shh, don’t tell anyone, especially about Beena’s ceiling fan fame.’"

Curious about the ceiling fan story? Rasika tried to play it cool, saying she’d forgotten, but Shweta was quick to recount it. "Rasika was home alone during Season 2. An electrician was fixing the fan and suddenly recognized her as Beena. Rasika immediately called her husband, Mukul, to come home. She knew the guy didn’t mean any harm, but it freaked her out!"

Strong Female Characters: Because Who Runs the World?

Shweta emphasized, "Whether it’s my character or Rasika’s, both are fighters. Strong female presence in the story is crucial because that’s how it is in society. I have no problem showing that struggle on screen."

Rasika chimed in, "Women are working in every field. People think we’re just girls, but they have no clue what’s going on in our heads."

The Process: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

Anjum explained, "Sharad’s character is all about internal conflict and strategy. Playing him was challenging but rewarding."

Shweta shared, "The most beautiful thing about this series is our cast and crew. Everyone’s energy goes into making each scene the best it can be. We support each other immensely."

Rasika added, "The fan following and loyal audience are extraordinary. The biggest challenge for me is Beena’s body language. She’s so different from me. Her emotional disconnect, except with Lalla, is tough to portray."

Anjum said, "Working with actors I once admired, like Rasika and Pankaj Tripathi, is an incredible experience. Sharad’s thoughtfulness before taking any action was fascinating, even though he couldn’t achieve everything he wanted."

Priyanshu concluded, "I never thought I could play a character like Robin. Challenging myself and then seeing it come to life on screen was exhilarating. Personally, I don’t believe in violence. I prefer solving problems through conversation."

Nisha’s Nutshell: Moral of the Story

In Bollywood, if your electrician recognizes you, it’s time to find a new hiding spot. Also, typecasting is real, but hey, at least it means you’ve made an impact!
