Arre bhai, Bollywood ki duniya mein phir se kuch garam masala pak raha hai! Mudassar Aziz, the mastermind behind the 2019 hit ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’, has dropped a bombshell – a sequel is in the works! The original flick, starring Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday, and Bhumi Pednekar, was a laugh riot and a box office success. Toh, kya aap ready ho for round two?
Mudassar bhai, apne interview mein Indian Express ko bola ki he’s all set for ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh 2’. He said, “That’s going to be my next film as a director. That’s what I am working on right now. We are in the process of finalizing several things.” Matlab, kaam zoro-shoro se chal raha hai!
But wait, yeh baar kuch alag hone wala hai. Aziz bhai plans to spin the tale from a woman’s perspective this time. “I am setting out to take that on as the next installment of the idea of Man, Woman, and Her all over again. I can promise it will not be run of the mill. I will provide a very interesting perspective from a woman’s standpoint and a lot of laughs,” he added. Ab yeh baat sunke toh excitement aur bhi badh gayi!
Ab sabka sawaal yeh hai – kya Kartik Aaryan, Ananya Panday, aur Bhumi Pednekar wapas aayenge? Mudassar bhai ne direct jawab toh nahi diya, but he hinted at their return. Referencing his ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’ series, he remarked, “Even when I went from Happy Bhag Jaayegi to Happy Phir Bhag Jaayegi, you could not forget Bagga (Jimmy Sheirgill), Afridi (Piyush Mishra), and Happy (Diana Penty) to begin with. I like making sequels.”
Par final shabd toh producers ka hoga. “Making announcements vis-a-vis who is finalized and who is not finalized, and who the cast is, will be the studio and the producers’ prerogative,” he concluded.
Pehli film ne Rs. 45 crore ke budget pe Rs. 117.7 crore kamaaye the worldwide! Wah bhai, wah! Lekin, yeh bhi sach hai ki kuch logon ne film ko criticize kiya for its regressive portrayal of serious issues. Aur bhai, Aparshakti Khurana, K. K. Raina, Rajesh Sharma, Navni Parihar, aur Geeta Agarwal Sharma bhi the film mein. Kya lagta hai, yeh log bhi wapas aayenge?
Bollywood mein sequel banana aasan nahi hai, par Mudassar bhai lagte hain full confident. Unka kehna hai ki yeh sequel hoga ekdum hatke, aur yeh sunke hum sabka dil garden garden ho gaya! Toh bhai, bas intezaar karo aur dekho kya dhamaka hota hai Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 ke saath!
