New Delhi: Siddhant Chaturvedi, remember him? The guy who made waves in 2019 with Gully Boy, alongside Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt? Well, he recently spilled the beans about almost bailing on Gehraiyaan because of those steamy scenes with Deepika Padukone. Yep, you heard that right! The movie, directed by Shakun Batra, dives deep into the murky waters of relationships, infidelity, and ambition. 🧐

In a candid chat with Hindi Movie News, Siddhant confessed that he was on the verge of a meltdown while shooting an intimate scene with Deepika. Things got so heated (no pun intended) that both his dad and producer Karan Johar had to step in. Imagine having that conversation with your dad! Siddhant’s father gave him a reality check, saying, "Listen, in India, 99% of people would kill for this chance. They wouldn’t even think twice. Man up, be professional, this is your job." 🫣

And then came the golden words from his father, "It doesn’t matter. You are the one who will define things. Go do it if you want to be a good actor. You will never be anything special unless you redefine things. Siddhant, it’s Dharma, it’s Deepika Padukone, it’s Shakun Batra, and you have got to do this." Talk about tough love, huh? 😅

Siddhant also shared how his relatives reacted to the film. Spoiler alert: They were shell-shocked. "All my relatives lost it," he said. "They were like, ‘We thought he had become an actor, but now he’s overdoing it, he is living our dreams.’ My maternal uncle was so shy he could only smile at me. I was like, ‘First watch the film and understand what it’s about,’ but all they focused on were the intimate scenes." Classic, right? 🙄

ICYMI: In Gehraiyaan, Siddhant plays Zain, a charismatic and enigmatic dude tangled in a love triangle with Ananya Panday and Deepika Padukone. The film went straight to OTT and got mixed reviews, because of course it did! 🤷‍♀️
