Well, well, well, look who’s about to swap their passports for baby bottles! Our very own Richa Chadha is set to embrace motherhood and she’s already feeling nostalgic about her freedom-filled solo trips. But let’s rewind and spill the tea, shall we?

Richa Chadha’s Wanderlust Woes

Bollywood diva Richa Chadha, who’s expecting her first bundle of joy with hubby Ali Fazal, recently took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about her spur-of-the-moment solo escapades. Flashback to July last year – our girl wrapped up a chaotic shoot in London and decided to hop on a Eurostar to Amsterdam. Who wouldn’t, right? A little art, a little self-discovery, and a lot of “me-time.”

In her Instagram post, Richa, ever the philosopher, pondered over the impending end of her impromptu travel days. “Hmmm… are my days of impromptu solo travel over? These photos are from July 2023, when I had wrapped a stressful and strange shoot in London, and decided to take a solo trip to Amsterdam the following morning. Accompanied by @harryrajput64, who’d just had his camera stolen due to a break-in, from the production car…” Talk about drama!

Richa’s partner-in-crime, Harry Rajput (sans camera, thanks to some petty thief), was more interested in partying on his last night in London. Meanwhile, Richa had her eyes set on Amsterdam. What did our soon-to-be mom do? Crash at a friend’s place with a salad and some much-needed sleep. Now, that’s the kind of wild night we can get behind!

She goes on, “Reminiscing tonight…what will happen now, I will be responsible for a whole other human being. Can’t just get up and leave now anymore, right? Mommies weigh in?” Aww, Richa, welcome to the ‘Mommy Club’ – spontaneous trips will soon be replaced by diaper dashes!

On the Career Front

For those wondering what Richa’s been up to besides growing a tiny human, she was last seen in the series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Set in the British India era, the show revolves around Mallikajaan’s (Richa’s character) battles with the return of Fareedan (played by Sonakshi Sinha). With a star-studded cast including Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, and more, it’s a must-watch for all desi drama lovers.
