And guess what? Sonakshi’s dad, the one and only Shatrughan Sinha, seems to be just as clueless! When Zoom caught up with him, he was busy playing politician in Delhi. Shatrughan Sinha, who just snagged an MP seat with Trinamool Congress, revealed, "I am in Delhi right now. After the election results, I flew down here. I haven’t spoken to anyone about my daughter’s plans. So your question is, is she getting married? The answer is that she hasn’t told me anything about it."

Now, here’s where it gets even juicier. Shatrughan continued, "Main bhi utna hi jaanta ho jitna main media maine padha hai (I know as much about this as what the media has told me). If and when she takes me into confidence, my wife and I will give the couple my blessings. We wish her happiness always. We trust her judgement completely. She would never make an extra-constitutional or illegal decision. As a consenting adult, she has the right to make her own decisions." Ah, the sweet sound of political correctness! 🥴

The whispers of Sonakshi and Zaheer’s grand wedding started after an India Today report suggested that the big day is set for June 23. Apparently, close friends, family, and the Heeramandi cast already have their invites. And get this – the wedding invite looks like a magazine cover shouting, "The rumours are true." How very Bollywood, right? The grand affair is rumored to take place at Bastian in Mumbai.

For those who’ve been living under a rock, Sonakshi and Zaheer have been rumored to be an item since 2020. They were co-stars in the 2022 film Double XL and even appeared together in the music video Jodi Blockbuster last year. Seems like their on-screen chemistry might just be brewing off-screen too!
