Picture this: Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Saswata Chatterjee, and Disha Pataniâall in one movie! Haan, you heard it right. Directed by Nag Ashwin, this 3-hour epic flick begins with Ashwatthama (yes, woh Mahabharata wala!) killing the last of the Pandavas. Lord Krishna curses him for immortality, aur phir jump karte hain 6000 saal aage, to a post-apocalyptic Kashi where Ganga is as dry as your sense of humor during a bad date. đ
Kashi is now ruled by the Supreme Yaskin, who treats people like theyâre in a never-ending episode of Bigg Boss. Par kahani mein twist haiâthereâs hope in Shambala, where a savior is awaited. Rebels are fighting against the Supreme, adding some much-needed tadka to the plot.
Mazaak bhi aur serious bhi, lekin thoda mix-up hai! đ
The movie kicks off with a bang, keeping you glued to your seat. Even with the grim setting, Bhairavaâs humor lightens things up. "Project K" ke naam se ek secret hai, involving hundreds of pregnant women in separate cells. First half mein story ka build-up is solid, making you want to know more.
Par yaar, serious scenes ke beech mein Prabhas aur Disha Patani ka random song? Matlab, why? Itâs as if Bhairava and the rest of the cast are living in parallel universes. Prabhasâ Bhairava reminds you of Baahubaliâs Shivudu, and performances by Amitabh Bachchan, Saswata Mukherjee, and Deepika Padukone are top-notch, no doubt.
Star Wars, Dune, aur Mad Max ka tadka! đ
Oh, and did I mention? There are elements that give you major Star Wars, Dune, and Mad Max: Fury Road vibes. Lightsabers bhi hai, boss!
Pehla aadha, engaging hai, magar⊠đŹ
First half ka build-up is engaging, no doubt. But the random humor and unnecessary interactions? They kinda break the flow. If only they had cut down on those, it could have been a flawless start.
