Priyanka Chopra & Kareena Kapoor Cut Down Their Fees for Fashion & Heroine – The Real Story!

Welcome back, my filmy friends! It’s your favorite Bollywood snoop, Khabree Kiran, here to spill the beans on some juicy industry gossip! So, grab your chai and get ready for today’s masaledaar update! đŸŒ¶ïž

Did you know that our B-Town queens, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Priyanka Chopra, once took a chhota sa pay cut for their movies? Haan ji, you heard that right! These divas slashed their fees for Heroine and Fashion respectively, and it’s all thanks to the master of female-centric films, Madhur Bhandarkar.

Now, Madhur bhaiya has been quite the chatterbox lately, revealing how our favorite heroines have been real team players. Kareena, Priyanka, and even Tabu have all agreed to take a pay cut to keep the budget in check. Like, seriously, who knew Bollywood stars could be so budget-friendly? 😜

Madhur Bhandarkar, who gave us the gritty Fashion in 2008, had Priyanka Chopra portraying the harsh realities of the modeling world. The film was a hit, and Priyanka even bagged a National Award for her stellar performance. Fast forward to 2012, and Kareena Kapoor Khan took us on an emotional roller coaster in Heroine, showcasing the highs and lows of a female superstar’s life.

In Bhandarkar’s own words, "Every female actor slashed her price when they were working with me. For Chandni Bar, Tabu didn’t charge any fee! She took money against Bombay or Delhi territory, and nothing else. Even Raveena Tandon and Bipasha Basu reduced their prices. Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor Khan also slashed their fees. They were all keen on making these movies, and the entire film rested on their shoulders."

Wah! Talk about dedication! These actresses truly believed in the vision of the films and were ready to make some financial adjustments. Matlab, asli Bollywood spirit hai na!

Now, what’s cooking in the careers of these lovely ladies? Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to dazzle us again with her upcoming film, The Buckingham Murders, releasing on September 13, 2024. The teaser is already out, and boy, does it look intense! Meanwhile, our global icon Priyanka Chopra is busy shooting The Bluff in Australia. Busy bees, both of them! 🐝

KIRAN’S GYAN:
Bollywood ka asli drama screen pe hi nahi, backstage bhi hota hai! From pay cuts to power plays, our celebs sure know how to keep things interesting. So, next time you watch a movie, remember—there’s a lot more behind those glamorous scenes than meets the eye!
