Raha is Always the Hot Topic

Ah, dear readers, gather ’round, for Bollywood Newshound Nisha is here to spill some tea on your favorite B-town diva, Alia Bhatt. Grab your popcorn, because this one’s going to be a ride!

New Delhi: Alia Bhatt has decided that acting, endorsing, and being a fashionista just aren’t enough. Now, she’s adding “author” to her résumé. On Sunday, she unveiled her debut book, Ed Finds a Home. Yes, you heard that right. Alia Bhatt is now an author. Move over, J.K. Rowling. 🙄

In a chat with Hindi Movie News—because who else would she talk to?—Alia dished out some details on how motherhood has turned her world upside down. She gushed, “Seeing her personality unfold day by day. I get so surprised when she identifies an animal or when she repeats after me, like a grown-up.” Oh, Alia, if only we could all be so easily amused. 😏

And if you thought that was all, wait till you hear this. Every night, Alia and Ranbir have their little “Raha appreciation hour,” where they bask in the glory of their child’s daily achievements. “As a parent, you are always looking forward to giving your child experiences, learning from them, and them learning from you. It is just a very basic feeling of nurturing,” she said. Cue the collective “aww,” please. 🥱

But wait, there’s more! Alia’s daughter Raha apparently loves books (probably more than some of us love Netflix), and that’s what inspired her to write Ed Finds a Home. For the past 19 months, Alia has been channeling her inner storyteller every night, complete with animal noises and dramatic flair. She said, “I get very creative with her as a storyteller! If there are animals, I make all those sounds. She loves animals, naturally!” Well, isn’t that just purr-fect? 🐾

On the professional front, Alia has been busy conquering Hollywood and Bollywood alike. Last year, she starred in Heart Of Stone alongside Gal Gadot. She also graced the big screen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani with Ranveer Singh and a stellar cast including Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. Let’s not forget her Best Actress win at the 69th National Film Awards. 🎬

Up next, you’ll catch Alia in Vasan Bala’s Jigra with Vedang Raina. She’s also teaming up with hubby Ranbir Kapoor and Raazi co-star Vicky Kaushal in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War. Clearly, our girl is all set to slay 2024. 💁‍♀️
