Despite the Delhi rains doing their best to play party pooper, Rajkummar Rao, our very own Vicky from Stree 2, decided to drop by HT’s New Delhi office. Fans went bonkers, hooting "We love you, Vicky!" like there’s no tomorrow. And guess what? The fun meter hit the roof when Shraddha Kapoor joined him for a chit-chat session with Sonal Kalra, the Chief Managing Editor (Entertainment and Lifestyle), Hindustan Times.
Delhi Dilwaalon Ki!
Rajkummar gushed about his dilli connection, “Delhi is my home, yaar! Born and bred here. My theatre days at Mandi House, college life in South Campus – sab kuch yahin shuru hua. Left in 2005, but my family still stays in Gurugram. Dilli ka khaana, family aur dilliwale, I can’t stay away for long!”
Shraddha chimed in with her own nostalgia, “Delhi has a big chunk of my childhood memories. Dad (Shakti Kapoor) ka parivaar yahin hai. Karol Bagh ke daada-daadi, chaacha, bua aur cousins ke saath khaane ki yaadein ab bhi taza hain. Best memories, I tell you!”
Stree 2 Ka Raaz
Six years, folks! Rajkummar admitted, “Yaar, we didn’t want to churn out a sequel bas aise hi. We needed the right story, a true sequel that could build on the universe, not just cash in on the first film’s success.”
Acting Ka Gyaan
Studying vs experience? Rajkummar spilled the beans, “No fixed rules, yaar. Studying helps, like FTII shaped my journey. But then, look at naturals like Alia Bhatt, Konkona Sensharma, and Kangana Ranaut. Education boosts confidence, especially for outsiders. But, learning on the job is equally important.”
Social Media Love
Shraddha’s take on social media adoration? “It’s a huge blessing. Little girls calling me their big sister, elderly folks sharing positive vibes – it’s humbling. Thank you, everyone!” 🥰
Shaadi Ki Baatein
Shraddha on her love life: “Fairytale love, yaar! That’s what I imagine. When it happens, I’d love to take it to the next level – marriage.”
Rajkummar on married life: “Marriage is beautiful. So much happiness and a sense of completion. We are best friends. Patralekhaa is my honest critic, my go-to person for feedback on my films.”

Shraddha’s dilemma: “Tough choice! Comfort food? Aaloo ka parantha with dahi and achaar. But also, pooran poli! In Delhi, chhole bhature is a must. Food toh khushi hai, yaar!”

Rajkummar observed, “Craft and art are evolving. Today’s audience notices effort and innovation. Many changes in content and audience perspective.”
Shraddha reflected, “So many learnings, proud moments. Now, I’m confident in picking roles and scripts. I’ve worked with wonderful people over the past 14 years.”

Shraddha’s musical aspirations: “I’ve scribbled lyrics, hummed tunes, played chords on the piano. I have a bank of ideas. Let’s see how I take it forward. It’s on my mind.”
