Amar Kaushik’s latest horror-comedy, Stree 2, released on Independence Day and bhai, kya dhamaka kiya hai! The film is raking in the moolah like there’s no tomorrow. Independence Day pe toh log cinema hall mein ghus gaye jaise free biryani mil rahi ho! 😂
Day 1 saw an impressive ₹8.5 crore just from premieres! Yes, you heard it right, sirf premieres se! Opening day was nothing short of a blockbuster with ₹51.8 crore, but Friday ko thoda sa slide ho gaya, going down to ₹31.4 crore. Saturday ko phir se dhamal with ₹46 crore! Total collection abhi tak – drumroll please – ₹137.70 crore in just three days! Talk about paisa vasool!
About Stree 2 – Aaja Aaja Stree! 👻
For those living under a rock, Stree 2 is the sequel to the 2018 hit Stree. Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor are back to charm you with their jadoo-tona. This time, Chanderi is being haunted by a headless entity called Sarkata, who’s on a woman-snatching spree. Matlab, full-on horror and comedy ka double dose!
Oh, and did I mention the cameos? There’s Varun Dhawan reprising his Bhediya avatar in a sizzling song with Shraddha. Music by Sachin-Jigar and score by Justin Varghese – full on party, boss!

Stree 2 isn’t the only player in town. It’s up against John Abraham’s Vedaa and an ensemble star cast in Khel Khel Mein featuring Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, and many more. But dekhte hain, kaun banega box office ka king!
