Stree 2 Box Office Collection: Paisa Vasool or Not?
Arey bhai, Amar Kaushik’s sequel to his 2018 horror-comedy blockbuster, Stree, is here and boy, it’s making waves! Facing off against Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa, Stree 2 has notched some serious numbers. Picture this: the film raked in ₹8.5 crore during paid premieres and a whopping ₹51.8 crore on its opening day on August 15. Wah bhai wah!
In its first week, the film collected ₹31.4 crore on Friday, ₹43.85 crore on Saturday, and ₹55.9 crore on Sunday. Monday saw a dip (as expected—logo ko kaam bhi karna hota hai, na?), but it still managed to earn ₹38.1 crore. Then it pulled in ₹25.8 crore, ₹19.5 crore, and ₹16.8 crore on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday respectively. Total tally for the first week? A smashing ₹291.65 crore net in India.
Just when you thought the party was over, Stree 2 surprised everyone with a 4.17% spike in collections on its second Friday, making ₹17.5 crore. By the second Saturday, it added another ₹32 crore to its kitty. So, what’s the grand total after ten days? A mind-boggling ₹341.15 crore net in India. Ab bolti bandh?
Aparshakti on Ayushmann Joining the Franchise: Bhai Bhai Combo
Aparshakti Khurana recently spilled the beans to PTI about his big brother Ayushmann Khurrana joining Maddock Films’ horror-comedy franchise. The new film, Thama (previously titled Vampires of Vijay Nagar), will see the Khurana brothers together on screen. Aparshakti was all emotional, saying, "We had been waiting for so long to work with each other in something that’s good and what can be better than a world which has been created?"
He also cleared the air, claiming they didn’t lobby to be cast together. "We didn’t go up to the producers asking them to take us together in a film…We had finished shooting for ‘Stree 2’ and this new film came to him after that," Aparshakti said. So, will they play brothers or not? Arre bhai, suspense bhi toh zaroori hai!
