This one’s a masaledar throwback from the sets of the iconic ‘Karan Arjun’, which is turning the big 3-0 this year. Hai Rabba, time flies!
Picture this: the year is 1995, and the movie that everyone can’t stop talking about is ‘Karan Arjun’. With an ensemble cast boasting the likes of Rakhee ji, Mamta Kulkarni, and Kajol, it’s no surprise that this film became the second-highest-grossing movie of that year. But, dosto, behind the scenes, Salman and SRK were cooking up a storm of their own!
So, what happened? Well, in a candid moment on ‘Aap Ki Adalat’, Salman bhai revealed a prank that involved a gun. Yes, a gun! Relax, it was just a blank one, courtesy of the action director, Bhiku Verma. The plan was simple: Salman would invite Shah Rukh to dance, SRK would refuse, a mock fight would break out, and then—BAM! Salman would fire the blank gun, and SRK would hit the ground like a pro.
And what a performance it was! Shah Rukh played along to perfection, even pulling off a somersault before collapsing dramatically. The set was in chaos; director Rakesh Roshan was shaking like a leaf. Salman, standing there with red eyes, was in on the joke, but it seemed like SRK had taken his acting a bit too far. When he didn’t get up, panic spread like wildfire—until, of course, he started snoring! 😴
Salman later admitted that SRK’s performance was Oscar-worthy and praised him as the best performer in the industry. And why not? After all, it’s not every day you see the King of Bollywood playing possum in such style!
And guess what? ‘Karan Arjun’ made a comeback in theatres last November, reminding us all of those epic on-screen and off-screen moments.
