Ramayan Whiz Ramanand Sagar’s Grandson Throws Shade at Adipurush, Reacts to Ranbir Kapoor-Nitesh Tiwari Flick: “Just Be Real!”

Hey Bollywood ke deewano, Khabree Kiran here, ready to spill the chai on the latest B-Town drama. Fasten your seatbelts because this one’s going to be a bumpy ride! 🚀

So, remember the iconic Ramayana that Ramanand Sagar gifted us? Featuring Arun Govil as the OG Ram, it was a TV masterpiece that even got a rerun during the pandemic. Fast forward to last year, and Om Raut gave us Adipurush with Prabhas as Ram and Kriti Sanon as Sita. 🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️ Now, we’re getting ready for another Ramayana rendition, this time by Nitesh Tiwari, starring none other than Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. 🎬

But wait, there’s more! Amrit Sagar, the grandson of the legendary Ramanand Sagar, recently decided to share his two cents on Tiwari’s upcoming project. Aur bhai, did he hold back? Nope! 😏

Picture this: A few weeks ago, some on-set pics of Ranbir and Sai in their Ramayana avatars leaked online. Ab kya, social media pe aag lag gayi! 🔥 People had mixed feelings, and rumors started swirling that the team might reconsider their looks. Meanwhile, Om Raut’s Adipurush got roasted last year for its dialogues and visuals. Ouch! 😬

In an interview with indianexpress.com, Amrit Sagar, known for TV serials like Hatim, Jai Shri Krishna, and Dharam Veer, shared his thoughts on Nitesh Tiwari’s version. Bhai saab said, “Ramayan should be made by everybody, why not? Nobody has a copyright on Ramayan.” But then he threw in a little masala: “My only thing with that is do it honestly. Don’t try and make the Ramayan through this person’s perspective, or that person’s perspective. Ramayan is not that. It is the story of Ram, that is why it is titled Ramayan.” 👀

Taking a not-so-subtle swipe at Adipurush, Amrit added, “Ramleelas have been happening in this country for centuries. And they follow the story completely.” For those who missed it, Adipurush‘s writer, Manoj Muntashir, had earlier defended the film’s dialogues by comparing it to Ramleelas. Well, Amrit bhai clearly wasn’t buying it! 😜

So, what’s next? Well, Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor is expected to hit the screens in 2025. Till then, we will keep our popcorn ready for more updates. 🍿

Kiran’s Gyan: Bollywood mein ek hi rule hai, bhai – "Sab kuch chalta hai, bas TRP milna chahiye!" 😆 In this industry, honesty may be the best policy, but controversy is the best publicity! 💁‍♀️
