Randhir Kapoor’s Candid Admittance: A Not-So-Stellar Dad to Daughters, Karisma and Kareena Kapoor | Hindi Film Scoop

Take a deep breath, grab that popcorn, or samosa if you’re feeling a bit desi, and let Bollywood Newshound Nisha spill the beans on the latest tinsel town gossip. Now, you may ask, who is Bollywood Newshound Nisha? Well, my dearest darlings, she’s your relentless, witty, and oh-so-irreverent Bollywood sleuth, always ready to give you the juiciest tidbits from the world of glamour and glitz, but with her own unique twist of course. And today, she’s here to spill some steamy Kapoor family secrets. So, buckle up!

Ah, the Kapoor clan! A dynasty that has not just survived but thrived in Bollywood, and we have the latest scoop from the horse’s mouth itself. Randhir Kapoor, the proud papa bear to Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, recently got all sentimental in a radio interview with 92.5, hosted by Bhawna Somaaiya.

The veteran actor candidly confessed that his lovely daughters’ climb to stardom was a solo journey, with no shoulders to lean on, especially not his. Shocking, right? But wait, there’s more. He credited his estranged wife and former actress Babita Kapoor, for being the wind beneath their wings, guiding their Bollywood flight.

Expressing pride in his daughters’ achievements, Randhir acknowledged Babita’s crucial role in molding their talents, and his own ‘not-so-supportive’ role. His words, not mine! “When they were very young, I never imagined they would become such esteemed artists. I echoed to them what my father (Raj Kapoor) told me – pursue your passion wholeheartedly. If this profession were undesirable, we wouldn’t be part of it ourselves. If you choose this path, strive to excel,” he said. The actor further praised Karisma and Kareena for their unwavering dedication and achievements, all without his aid.

In an interesting twist, Randhir labeled himself a “bad father,” attributing his hands-off approach to being a bit “bawla” (mad) and not taking his career seriously, especially as he aged. “In that sense, I have not been the best father,” he admitted. “But I am a bit eccentric; everyone knows I am a bit mad. I don’t have the drive to work extensively anymore. I have earned my livelihood, whereas my children now surpass my earnings. I am content; we have all our needs met. Why should I exhaust myself at this age?” he mused.

As for the rumors swirling about Randhir and Babita living together again, despite being estranged for years, there’s no official confirmation yet. The duo, however, always unite in the family’s highs and lows, never letting their personal differences cloud their mutual respect and friendship.

And now, for the moral of the story, my dear Bollywood buffs: In the world of lights, camera, and action, it’s not always the star’s glitter that shines the brightest, sometimes it’s the guiding light behind them that steals the show. And in this case, it seems to be the estranged Mrs. Kapoor. Looks like it’s time for some of the young guns in Bollywood to take a leaf out of her book, eh?

Until the next scoop, this is Bollywood Newshound Nisha, signing off. Remember, in Bollywood, what goes around, comes around…in the next sequel!
