Rani Mukerji and Deepika Padukone’s Chat on Women’s Safety Goes Viral: ‘We Must Take Charge’ | Bollywood

Oh, Bollywood! Where the drama isn’t just on-screen but spills into real life as well. Today, we’re diving into a clash of titans – Rani Mukerji and Deepika Padukone – over a pretty serious topic: women’s safety. Buckle up, doston! It’s going to be a bumpy ride! 🎢

Rani Mukerji vs. Deepika Padukone: The Great Debate on Women’s Safety

Alright, picture this: it’s 2018, the Me Too movement is at its peak, and our Bollywood divas are sitting around a table, discussing the very crucial issue of women’s safety. Rani Mukerji, the original Mardaani herself, drops a bombshell by suggesting that women need to get their act together and learn martial arts. Yep, you read that right. According to Rani, self-defense is the way to go. Here’s the queen bee herself, looking all intense:

Rani said, "I think as a woman, you have to be that powerful yourself. If you ever come to a situation like that, you have the courage to say ‘back off.’ Either kick him between his legs or give him a jhapad (slap) of his lifetime."

But, hold your applause! Deepika Padukone, our resident queen of cool and rational, wasn’t buying it. She retorted, "Why should it even get to that stage where I need to learn how to defend myself? Nip it in the bud; that situation itself should not arise."

User Reactions: Public Ka Verdict

Oh boy, the janta had a lot to say! And let’s just say, Rani’s advice wasn’t exactly welcomed with open arms. One user bluntly said, “Rani making 0 sense and points but keeps yapping on her nonsense… The ladies there are so pateint bc if it was me I would have walked out.” Ouch! 💥 Another added, “Rani is totally impractical here. She totally failed to understand the mental trauma and how a minor girl will take responsibility for herself.”

And then there’s this gem: “Rani…. It’s not mothers who are making these boys. You are again placing the blame on another woman. You are asking women to learn martial arts, are you sure that would protect them from ruthless beasts?”

Kiran’s Gyan: Kuch Toh Log Kahenge

Arre baba, Bollywood and its stars! Kabhi they give you gyaan that makes you go “Wah, kya baat hai!” and kabhi you just want to facepalm. Look, Rani’s out here channeling her inner Bruce Lee, but Deepika’s got a point too. Maybe, just maybe, the onus shouldn’t always be on women to protect themselves. How about we all do better and, I don’t know, raise boys who respect women? Just a thought! 💁‍♀️

Kiran’s Gyan:
Bollywood mein drama sirf filmon mein nahi hota, real life mein bhi hota hai. So next time you hear some gyaan from our filmi stars, remember: “Kuch toh log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna.” 😉
