So, our very own Rani Mukerji and her bestie Karan Johar made quite a splash at the Australian Parliament ahead of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM). Yes, you heard it right! The desi queen and the king of Koffee were seen addressing the Aussie lawmakers. Rani, in her trademark style, started off by saying how proud she was to represent Indian cinema. "Yeh toh ek milestone moment hai for India and Australia’s cultural ties," she declared. Kitna sahi bola, right?

Rani then got a bit nostalgic and philosophical, talking about how cinema has always been a bridge between people. IFFM 2024 Highlights
While we’re on the IFFM topic, let’s talk winners! Vikrant Massey’s ’12th Fail’ snagged the Best Film award. Kartik Aaryan, our chocolate boy, won Best Actor for ‘Chandu Champion’. Kiran Rao’s ‘Laapataa Ladies’ bagged the Best Film Critics’ Choice Award. And guess what? Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ won the Equality in Cinema award. Ram Charan was named Ambassador for Indian Art and Culture, and music maestro AR Rahman won an award for Excellence in Cinema. Wah bhai wah, kya baat hai!
