New Delhi. So, Sonakshi Sinha finally tied the knot with her boyfriend Zaheer on June 23, 2024. Yep, you heard it right! They smashed through the religious barriers and said, “I do!” under the Special Marriage Act of 1954. But of course, in true Bollywood fashion, their interfaith marriage has become the talk of the town. The trolls have been having a field day, especially in Sonakshi’s dad Shatrughan Sinha’s hometown of Patna, Bihar, where the whole thing is being labeled as “love jihad.” 🙄

Enter our sassy queen Richa Chadha, who decided to clap back at the haters. Richa took to her Instagram stories to share her thoughts and shower some love on the newlyweds. She wrote a heartfelt post that said:

“Dear Sona and Zaheer! I am so happy for your simplicity and the bond you share. It’s delightful to see you dancing to your own tune! Couldn’t get a photo with you because you were busy, but Ali and I adore you and your energy! You two make a fabulous pair…”

And just to add some spice, she also mentioned that she’s in her ninth month of pregnancy but braved the crowd to attend the wedding. To the trolls, she had a zinger: “Buri nazar wale tera muh faltoo hai. Love to both of you. Thanks for the amazing party, and I wish you a lifetime of happiness.”

For those who have been living under a rock, Richa herself had an interfaith marriage with actor Ali Fazal in 2022. They dated for about five years before taking the plunge on October 4, 2022. Just like Sonakshi and Zaheer, Richa and Ali also faced their fair share of trolling. Ah, the joys of being a Bollywood star! 🤦‍♀️
