Lights, Camera, Chatter! đŹ
Hey there, Bollywood Buffs! Itâs your favourite Bollywood sleuth, Nisha, spilling the tea on all the drama and dazzle of our beloved film industry. So, buckle up because this oneâs going to be a rollercoaster! đ˘
So, our latest hot topic is the debut OTT series of the grandeur-loving maestro, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, "Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar." Now, if youâve been keeping up, you know that this series has been creating as many waves as an elephant in a kiddie pool. đđŚ Its lavish depiction and cinematography have had viewers hooked, but letâs not forget, every rose has its thorns, and in this case, itâs the criticism faced by Sharmin Segal.
Oh, did I mention that sheâs SLBâs niece? Well, that little nugget has earned her the not-so-coveted title of a "nepo kid." Poor gal! đ But hold on, here comes Richa Chadha, riding in like a knight in shining armour (or in this case, a saree) to defend her Heeramandi co-star. đĄď¸đ
Posting on her Instagram (because where else would you air your grievances in this digital age?), Richa took a stand against the onslaught of negativity. And boy, was it a doozy! Sharing a screenshot of a rather distasteful comment about Sharminâs portrayal of Alamzeb, Richa wrote, âGuys? Offer constructive criticism, but this much visceral hate? Itâs one thing to reject someoneâs performance, theek hai! Mat karo pasand, aapka haq hai.â Now thatâs a classy clapback if Iâve ever seen one! đđ
And she didnât stop there. Richa continued, âPar aise chatkare le ke troll to mat karo? Please? Out of context interview clips (that too from a legit roast, yâall are using). Why? I think we can all do better than that, be better than that. Be kind. Please. It can affect someoneâs mental health. A big election just happened, thereâs a heat wave on, thereâs so much going on in the world! Please move on.â Talk about hitting the nail on the head! đŻ
Sharmin, too, had her say on the matter. In a recent interview, she stated that there are plenty of people who loved her performance. Her focus? The positivity. Thatâs the spirit, Sharmin! đ
Now, I canât end this without mentioning the stellar cast of "Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar." Alongside Sharmin and Richa, the series boasts of talents like Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Taha Shah Badussha. Released on May 1, this series is definitely one to watch if you havenât already!đż
Nishaâs Nutshell: đĽ
So, the moral of the story? Well, in the world of glitz and glam, remember that stars are people too! Constructive criticism? Sure, thatâs the spice of life. But trolling? Thatâs a big no-no. After all, even in Bollywood, âtis better to be kind than to be right! đ
Until next time, stay filmy, my friends! đĽđ
