Riteish Deshmukh, Sonakshi Sinha, & Saqib Saleem Serve Up Comedy Against a Sinister Spell

Oh ho, kya scene hai! The trailer for the highly-anticipated horror-comedy Kakuda has finally dropped, and it’s already creating a hungama! Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar (yes, the same guy who gave us the blockbuster Munjya), this film stars Riteish Deshmukh, Sonakshi Sinha, and Saqib Saleem. Aur suno, the story revolves around some ajeeb folklore – sounds intriguing, na?

So, picture this: Rathoda village, where every ghar has two darwazas—one bada and one chhota. Every Tuesday at 7:15 pm, the chhota darwaza has to be left open for a ghost that enjoys terrorizing men. Miss this little detail, and bam! The man of the house gets cursed with maut. Poor Sunny (played by Saqib Saleem), the husband of our heroine Indira (Sonakshi Sinha), forgets this crucial step. Result? Curse lag gaya!

Indira, being the modern biwi, thinks this is all bakwaas. But the villagers are like, "Nahi, yeh sach hai!" Enter Victor (Riteish Deshmukh), who proudly calls himself a ‘Ghost Hunter.’ Victor arrives in Rathoda to save Sunny from his terrible fate. And yeh kahani takes many twists and turns as they try to decode the mystery behind the curse.

The trailer is full paisa vasool, reminding you of movies like Stree, but with a male ghost. Riteish’s character brings much-needed comedy to this horror setup, taking potshots at Bhool Bhulaiyaa’s Manjulika and even Stree. Kya baat hai, Victor!

The official synopsis goes something like this: “When her husband Sunny gets cursed by the terrifying ghost, Kakuda, Indira joins hands with a ghost hunter to find a solution. Can she save her husband before the curse claims his life?”
