Arrey bhai, whenever Bhai-jaan speaks, it’s always a dhamaka of truth bombs! In the world of glitter and glam, where stars usually polish their words like they polish their Ferraris, Salman Khan is still that unapologetic voice of old-school Bollywood. Recently, during the promotions of his upcoming flick, "Sikandar," Salman decided to spill the beans on why filmy duniya is facing a rough patch. And trust me, he didn’t hold back!
Salman Baba’s Take on Flops
Salman Khan, the man who can make a simple ‘hello’ sound like a blockbuster dialogue, got candid about Bollywood’s dull phase at the box office. "Jab itni gandi pictures banengi to flop to hongi hi," he declared, not sparing even his own films from his candid critique. 🤷♂️ "It’s simple," he says, "Bad film, flop film. Good film, hit film." Salman’s recent venture, "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan," failed to make the cash registers ring, marking his first major dud in a while. But, Bhai being Bhai, owned up to it by saying, "The star is the one on the poster, so if the film tanks, toh bhai blame bhi usi pe aata hai."
Bollywood’s Writing Woes According to Salman
Our beloved Bhaijaan also got into why Bollywood scripts are not clicking these days. "Writers are competing with directors, and producers with other producers. Ab bhai, aise thodi na films banti hain. You have to write for the audience as if you’re sitting in the front row, enjoying the show," he explained, adding that today’s audience, thanks to OTT platforms, are way ahead in the game. "Stop spoonfeeding them, yaar!"
Salman, in his gyaan mode, also shared advice from his father, emphasizing that films should only kick-off once you have a killer script, not because the heroine is getting married or actors have free dates. Sounds like solid advice, na? 🎬
Hope for Bollywood?
But don’t lose hope, folks! Salman ended on a positive note, reminding us that films, good or bad, are still the go-to entertainment for most Indians, "Movies are still the most-watched form of entertainment in the country," he reassured. With "Sikandar" releasing soon, he remains hopeful about the future of Hindi cinema.

Kiran’s Gyan
Bollywood ka asli problem kya hai, you ask? Everyone wants to be the hero, lekin script toh script hai, bhai! Whether it’s the dialogues or the drama, remember — the audience is the real star here. So, filmmakers, it’s time to swap those rose-tinted glasses for some reality checks! 😎
