Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ Falls Short Against Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ with ₹26 Crore Opening Day

Ah, Bollywood! The land of glitz, glam, and sometimes, a little bit of gham. Looks like Salman Bhai’s latest offering, "Sikandar," is making waves, but not quite the tsunami we all anticipated. With AR Murugadoss at the helm and Rashmika Mandanna by his side, Bhai tried to make this Eid special, but it seems the box office is giving him a thumbs sideways. 😅

Opening Dhamaka or a Phuski Bomb?

So, here’s the scoop, doston: "Sikandar" hit the cinemas with the anticipation of a Diwali cracker, but ended up fizzling out a bit like a wet sparkler. The film raked in ₹26 crore on its grand debut, which sounds fantastic until you remember that Vicky Kaushal’s "Chhaava" swaggered in with a whopping ₹31 crore. Ouch! Looks like Vicky is dancing away with the moolah while Bhai is left scratching his head. 🤔

Now, before you start saying, "Arre, yeh toh hona hi tha," remember Salman’s past Eid blockbusters like "Sultan" (₹36.54 crore) and "Tiger 3" (a jaw-dropping ₹53.3 crore). Compared to these, "Sikandar" seems to have missed the bus to blockbuster-ville. Kya karein, sometimes even the biggest stars have their off days.

Box Office Report Ka Gyaan

Our dear "Sikandar" managed a 20.95% Hindi occupancy on day one. Not bad, but not mind-blowing either. The real test will be in the coming days. Will it charge ahead like a raging bull, or saunter along like a lazy cat? Only time will tell, my Bollywood buffs.

Sikandar Ka Review: Yawn or Yay?

According to some khabri sources, the film’s screenplay and direction are as exciting as watching paint dry. Murugadoss ji, what happened? The film starts with Salman’s grand entry—of course!—but then it seems to just wander around like a lost tourist. Maybe if they’d thrown in a twist, something like why Sikandar is playing bodyguard to three specific folks, it would have added some much-needed tadka.

Kiran’s Gyan:

Bollywood Rule #101: Even the biggest stars need a solid script to shine. Stardom might bring you to the theater, but it’s the story that keeps you in your seat. Ab yeh baat kaun samjhaaye? 😜
