Sikandar’s Box Office Hungama 📈
Salman Khan ki nayi film "Sikandar" ne box office pe dhamaal kiya, but alas, not quite the dhamaka some were hoping for. Day 2 saw a handsome ₹29 crore collection, but come Tuesday, bhai had to be content with just ₹17.81 crore. The grand total? A respectable ₹72.81 crore in India and a worldwide tally nudging ₹95 crore. Not bad, but not superstar material either! 🤔
The Highs and Lows 🎢
Sure, the makers are waving their ₹100 crore worldwide banner, but let’s not forget, a Salman Khan film is expected to be a taarif-worthy affair. Yet, when compared to Vicky Kaushal’s "Chhaava" or Mohanlal’s "L2: Empuraan", "Sikandar" seems to be lagging behind. Kya karen, public hai, sab jaanti hai! 😏
About Sikandar 🎥
Action ka pitara, "Sikandar" is AR Murugadoss’s brainchild, following his hits like "Ghajini" and "Darbar". Expectations were sky-high, especially after Salman’s last misfire, "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan". But, with a storyline some found lacking and performances that didn’t quite dazzle, audience response has been a mixed bag. Arre baba, even the star filled cast of Sathyaraj, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar couldn’t save the day! 😬
Director AR Murugadoss shared with PTI, “When you’re working with superstars, the script takes a backseat. You compromise for the fans, for the opening. It’s a tricky zone.” Well, bhai, seems like the fans aren’t quite satisfied either! 🤷♀️
