Sanam Teri Kasam Part 2 Stuck in Limbo: Producer Cries Over Rights Drama | Bollywood Shenanigans

Arre bhai, Bollywood mein kuch bhi ho sakta hai! Just when you thought you had seen it all, here comes another drama, straight out of the filmy duniya. ‘Sanam Teri Kasam,’ the 2016 tear-jerker that once had audiences reaching for tissues, is back in the limelight. But hold your horses, not for the reasons you’d think!

So, here’s the latest khabar from the filmi galiyas! Directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru recently announced a sequel to the film, sending fans into a frenzy of anticipation. But wait! Enter the producer, Deepak Mukut, with a full-on twist in the kahani. He claims the directors jumped the gun and don’t have the rights to make such announcements. Wah bhai wah, Bollywood mein toh sab kuch possible hai! 🎬

In a rather candid chat with the media, Mukut made it crystal clear: "The IP of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ is my baby. Main hoon iska producer, so the rights to any sequel, prequel, or remake are all mine. I’ve already announced a sequel for September 2024 starring Harshvardhan Rane. As for those directors, unhone mujhse ab tak koi baat nahi ki hai." Oho, looks like there’s some serious drama off-screen too!

By the way, Harshvardhan Rane seems super committed to the sequel. He’s planning to go on an 11-day water fast! Ab isse kehte hain dedication ya paagalpan? 🤔

About the Film

For those who missed the original release, ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ starred Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane in a heart-wrenching love story. But alas, it tanked at the box office, earning just ₹9.1 crore against its ₹14 crore budget. Fast forward to its re-release on February 7, and lo and behold, it’s raking in the moolah this time around. Seems like the audience has finally found its dil se connection with the film.

According to some sources, the movie has had the biggest weekend for a Bollywood re-release, pulling in a total of ₹18.50 crore so far. Looks like it’s finally getting the pyaar it deserves! ❤️

Kiran’s Gyan

Arre bhai, Bollywood is unpredictable, just like Mumbai ki baarish! Kabhi hit kabhi flop, kabhi happy ending toh kabhi nahi! Lekin ek baat toh pakki hai—drama kabhi khatam nahi hoga. So, if you’re a Bollywood producer or director, maybe ensure you have the rights first before announcing sequels. Warna, kahan se kahan pahunch jaayega, pata nahi! 😂
