Hey there, Bollywood aficionados! It’s your favorite snoop, Khabree Kiran, back with another juicy gupshup from the glitzy world of Bollywood. Buckle up, kyunki yeh news hai ekdum zabardast!

Munna Bhai Returns with a Bang!

Remember the iconic Munna Bhai MBBS? Well, its sequel, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, hit the theaters on September 1, 2006, and boy, did it make some serious dhamaal! Directed by the genius Rajkumar Hirani, this film not only entertained us but also turned the fates of everyone involved. 📈

The Sequel Saga

Originally, the sequel was supposed to have a plot involving lawyers and was even titled Munna Bhai Meets Mahatma Gandhi. Imagine Munna Bhai MBBS turning into Munna Bhai MMG! But alas, that idea went straight into the dustbin. Instead, we got the gem that is Lage Raho Munna Bhai.

The Moolah Matters

Now, let’s talk paisa. The film was made on a modest budget of ₹22 crore and went on to rake in a whopping ₹75 crore in India alone. Worldwide, it collected a jaw-dropping ₹124.98 crore! Talk about paisa vasool! 💸

Sanju Baba’s Salary: Then and Now

Sanjay Dutt, aka our beloved Munna Bhai, was paid somewhere between ₹90 lakh to ₹1.2 crore back in 2006. That’s around 4.5% of the film’s total budget. After the film’s roaring success, his salary saw a meteoric rise. By 2007, he was charging ₹2 crore, and soon after, it sky-rocketed to ₹7-8 crore per project! Kya baat hai, Sanju Baba! 🚀

The Profit Game

The film didn’t just make money; it minted money. Lage Raho Munna Bhai registered a profit of around 237% at the box office. Sanju Baba became the hot property in B-town, and why not? Success tastes sweet, doesn’t it?

Munna Bhai 3: The Lost Dream

A third installment, Munna Bhai Chale America, was in the pipeline. There was even a trailer where Munna Bhai goes to meet the US President. But, sadly, the film never materialized. Rumors have it that Rajkumar Hirani might have repurposed the script into Dunki. Kya sach hai, kya jhoot, only time will tell!

Box office numbers are based on estimates and various sources.

Bollywood ka asli funda: Aaj ka flop kal ka hit. Kabhi kabhi, ek achhi script aur thoda sa luck, aur ban gaya blockbuster! Agar Munna Bhai jaisa dost ho, toh life mein tension hi kya? Lage raho, Bollywood ke deewano! 🎬
