Kya Kahani Hai, Deva?
"Deva" takes inspiration from Rosshan’s 2013 film, "Mumbai Police," but with a tadka twist in the climax. Shahid is in full-on action mode as ACP Dev Ambre, a cop on a mission to solve his best buddy’s murder. But wait, there’s a twist—he’s lost his memory! Enter Pooja Hegde as Diya Sathaye, the reporter and his premika, adding some romance to the drama. Pavail Gulati and Kubbra Sait also join the party in pivotal roles.
Ab bhale hi Shahid’s performance is getting a thumbs-up from some quarters, the film has left critics and audiences divided. Before the release, Shahid himself addressed the inevitable comparisons with his previous roles, saying, "Deva is very Deva; there’s no Kabir Singh in it."
