Shahid Kapoor Confesses His Love for Kabir Singh; Quips He Needs a Loan to Hire Mira Rajput as Script Consultant

Arrey bhai, Shahid Kapoor, the man who can make hearts flutter with just a smirk, is on a roll! With his new flick, Deva, just around the corner, Shahid is on a promotional dhamaka, and guess what? Yours truly, Khabree Kiran, managed to sneak into the conversation at HT City’s Stars In the City. Alongside the stunning Pooja Hegde, Shahid spilled some beans, and I’m here to serve it piping hot! 🍵

First up, let’s clear the air—Shahid did not throw any shade at Salman Khan in a recent podcast. So, bhai fans, aap log chain ki saans le sakte ho (you can breathe easy)! 😅 But what truly caught my ears was when Shahid opened up about his penchant for those ‘grey’ characters, like our infamous Kabir Singh. And there’s more—does his wife, the ever-charming Mira Rajput, have a say in his script choices?

When quizzed about Mira’s involvement, Shahid cheekily remarked, "She’s too expensive, I can’t afford her." 😂 But on a serious note, he believes that choosing a film is a deeply personal decision. "It’s your journey, your career, your growth," he shared. So, while he might discuss scripts with everyone, including Mira, the final call? That’s all Shahid, folks!

Now, about Kabir Singh—you either loved it or hated it. No middle ground, yaar! Shahid, however, stands tall with pride. "Playing characters with issues or grey shades is my dream come true," he said. Growing up, Shahid was inspired by the likes of Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver and Al Pacino in Scarface. According to him, it’s about bringing the truth to the screen, not making personal judgments. If people despise the characters he portrays, he sees it as a win. "Convincing them not to like me is interesting as an actor," he mused.

And as Shahid gears up to play a cop on a revenge spree in Deva, we’re on the edge of our seats! January 31, y’all—mark your calendars! 📅

Kiran’s Gyan: In Bollywood, playing it safe might keep you in the game, but playing with fire? That’s how you create sparks! So, my Bollywood ke deewano, remember, it’s the grey characters that add color to the silver screen! 🎬✨
