Sharvari’s ‘Munjya’ Hits a Speed Bump on Day 6 at the Box Office 🎬
Well, well, well, looks like the box office isn’t all roses and unicorns for Sharvari Wagh’s latest film Munjya. On its first Wednesday, the movie decided to take a little nap, earning just ₹ 4 crore. Which, if you’re keeping track, brings the cumulative total to ₹ 31.4 crore. Not too shabby, but not exactly juggernaut territory either.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotda and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, Munjya stars Sharvari as Bela and Abhay Verma as Bittu. The plot? Oh, just the usual Bollywood drama—a guy accidentally unleashes an angry spirit named Munjya. No biggie, right? 😜
According to our ever-reliable Taran Adarsh, who took to X (formerly known as Twitter), Munjya is still living its “dream run” at the box office. But hold your applause, folks! This Friday, it’s going to face off against Kartik Aaryan’s Chandu Champion. Taran thinks Munjya will still rake in the dough during its second weekend. Optimistic much, Taran?
Check out Taran’s tweet for the full scoop:
continues its DREAM RUN on Day 6 [Wed]… Faces a new opponent [ ] this Friday, but is on a good wicket, which means it will continue to collect very well in Weekend 2 as well.

“It’s difficult to guesstimate the lifetime biz of Munjya at the moment, but one thing is for sure: Dinesh Vijan has hit the jackpot. [Week 1 Friday including Thursday midnight screenings] ₹ 4.21 crore, Saturday ₹ 7.40 crore, Sunday ₹ 8.43 crore, Monday ₹ 4.11 crore, Tuesday ₹ 4.21 crore, Wednesday ₹ 4.11 crore. Total: ₹ 32.47 crore. India business. Box office,” he added. 🎟️💰
For those of you keeping track of Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe, Munjya is the third installment after Stree and Bhediya. And because we all love a good crossover, Varun Dhawan makes a cameo in the post-credits scene. Because why not?
Nisha’s Nutshell:
Ah, Bollywood, where spirits are always angry, box office numbers are a roller-coaster, and every movie needs a cameo to stay relevant. If you can’t beat ’em, cameo in ’em! 😏
Until next time, keep your eyes peeled and your gossip radar on high alert. Bollywood Newshound Nisha, signing off! 🐾
