So, Sonakshi Sinha is all set to tie the knot with Zaheer Iqbal, but word on the street is that Shatrughan Sinha and family aren’t exactly dancing in joy over this shaadi. But hey, pyaar sab kuch jeet leta hai, right? Let’s hope history repeats itself, but this time in a happy way.
Shatrughan Sinha, Reena Roy Aur Woh
Ah, the good old days when Shotgun and Reena Roy’s love story was the talk of the town! Why, you ask? Picture this: Shatru was already in a serious relationship with Reena when he decided to marry Poonam Sinha. Aur kya? He didn’t let a little thing like marriage stop him from continuing his affair with Reena!
And guess what? Shatru bhaiya was never in denial about his post-marriage romance. He fell for Poonam while still being committed to Reena. Even after putting a ring on Poonam’s finger, he couldn’t fully let go of Reena. Talk about complicated!
Poonam Ki Side Story
In one juicy interview, Poonam Sinha revealed that she stepped aside to let Reena have a clear field. But Shatru wasn’t keen on marrying someone whose loyalty was in question. She even admitted that Shatru and Reena rekindled their romance post-marriage. Hai re, yeh Bollywood!
Reena Roy’s Ultimatum
But then came the day when Reena Roy, with all her dignity intact, decided enough was enough. She demanded that Shatrughan marry her, wife and kids be damned. She went all in and cut ties with him until he agreed to her demands.
Pahlaj Nihalani, a close friend of both Shatru and Reena, spilled some more chai from Shatru’s memoir. Turns out, after their film "Hathkadi," Reena refused to work with Shatru in "Aandhi Toofan." She gave an ultimatum: “Tell your friend to make up his mind. If he gives me an answer, I’ll do the next film with him. Otherwise, it’s a no. I’ve made up my mind that if he doesn’t marry me, I’m going to get married in eight days.”
Shatru’s Breakdown
This ultimatum hit Shatru hard. Nihalani revealed that Shatru called Reena and cried like a baby. Yes, the mighty Shotgun sobbing like a child! It was the first time Nihalani saw Shatru so emotionally shattered. He even advised Shatru to let Reena go and let her find happiness elsewhere.
Eventually, Reena moved on and married Pakistani cricketer Mohsin Khan, with whom she had a daughter, Jannat. Unfortunately, that marriage didn’t last either, and they parted ways in the 90s.
