2024 ka saal lagta hai puraani yaadon ko taaza karne ka saal hai. Laila Majnu aur Rockstar ki box-office pe dhamakedar wapsi ke baad, ab producers ko lagta hai ki cult films ka jaadu ab bhi logon par chal sakta hai. Aur ab, ek aur classic film wapas aane ki soch mein hai – Mr. India! Haan haan, wahi Shekhar Kapur ki 1987 ki sci-fi blockbuster, jisme Anil Kapoor, Sridevi aur Amrish Puri ne apni chhaap chhod di thi.
Shekhar Kapur ne social media pe fans se poocha, kya tum log Mr. India ko phir se bade parde pe dekhna chahoge? Bhai sahab, X (pehle wala Twitter) pe poster share karte hue unhone likha, “Mr India ke fans se sawal: kitne logon ne isse bade screen pe dekha? Aur kitne logon ne chhote screen pe? Kya ab isse phir se bade screen pe release karne ka time aa gaya hai?”
Bhai wah! Shekhar Kapur ne Boney Kapoor ko bhi tag kar diya. Aur fans ka excitement to sky-high pe hai! Laila Majnu aur Rockstar ke baad, ab Gangs of Wasseypur aur Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein bhi wapas aa rahi hain. Aur suna hai Tumbbad bhi apna jadoo phir se chalane ko tayyar hai.
Mr. India ke fans ne to Shekhar Kapur ke sawal ka bada zabardast jawab diya hai. Ek fan ne likha, “Maine isse bade screen pe dekha tha aur chhote screen pe kayi baar. Isse phir se bade screen pe dekhna mazedaar hoga! Mogambo khush hoga!” Dusra fan bola, “VCR tape pe kayi baar dekha hai, ab bade screen pe dekhne ka mazaa alag hoga.” Ab dekhna yeh hai ki kab aur kaise yeh film phir se theaters mein aati hai.
Mr. India to waise bhi ek landmark film hai Indian cinema mein. Superhero genre pe film banane wali pehli films mein se ek thi. Anil Kapoor, Sridevi aur Amrish Puri ne jo dhamaka kiya, woh aaj bhi yaad hai. Aur bhai, Rs 3.5 crore ki budget pe Rs 10 crore kamaana 1987 mein, kya baat hai!
