So, Siddhant Chaturvedi, our very own MC Sher, thought he was being cast in the next Don 3. Haan haan, aapne sahi suna! Imagine his shock when he found out it was actually for Yudhra, another action-packed flick by Excel Entertainment.

The Great Misunderstanding

Siddhant has been tight with Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar since his Inside Edge and Gully Boy days. Recently, in an interview, he spilled the beans about this hilarious mix-up. Turns out, Farhan was working with screenwriter Shridhar Raghavan on an action film concept. Siddhant, being the keen bean he is, assumed it must be Don 3. Kya socha tha, aur kya nikla! 😂

Siddhant’s Dreamy Assumptions

“When I heard about an action film, I was like, ‘Bhai, this has to be Don!’ I even asked Ritesh if I could get a role. But Ritesh sir burst my bubble saying, ‘Yeh Don nahi hai, bhai.’ Still, I was adamant about testing for the part,” Siddhant shared, probably with a sheepish grin.

So, our guy met with Yudhra’s director, Ravi Udyawar, who loved Siddhant’s MC Sher vibe from Gully Boy and voila! Siddhant bagged the film. Talk about a happy accident!

Don 3 Ki Kahani

Aur haan, Don 3 eventually went to Ranveer Singh. Seems like apna Ranveer baba will be sharing the screen with Kiara Advani. However, the film is still yet to go on the floors. Meanwhile, Siddhant is all set to fulfill his bachpan ka sapna of being an action hero in Yudhra, slated to release on September 20th. The film also stars Malavika Mohanan and Raghav Juyal.
