So, apna serial kisser Emraan has never been the one to mince words. Whether it’s about his filmi image or his take on industry realities, he’s as blunt as it gets. Recently, during a podcast with Subhankar Mishra, he spilled some serious chai about the true face of Bollywood award shows. And oh, did he sneak in a sly comment about Kangana Ranaut? You bet!

Now, Kangana and Emraan have quite the history. Their on-screen chemistry sizzled in films like Gangster: A Love Story (2006), Raaz: The Mystery Continues (2009), Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010), and Ungli (2014). Unlike her usual tiffs with co-stars, Kangana and Emraan share a surprisingly cordial bond. 🤝

During the podcast, when asked about awards shows and Kangana’s infamous “useless” remark about them, Emraan had quite the cheeky response. He said, “Kyuki mila band ho gaya phir uske baad? Mujhe ek award mila I forget… for which I went to the award ceremony and mujhe iske baad iss cheez ka ek value pata chali ki iske peeche game kya hein. Agar aap perform kar rahe hein woh ek baat he… it is essentially a barter deal.” Translation: “Did she stop getting awards, so she called them useless? I got an award once, but then I realized it’s all a game. It’s basically a barter deal if you perform for them.”

Emraan didn’t stop there! He further exposed the murky reality behind these glitzy award functions, although he didn’t completely trash them. According to him, the barter deal is fine if you’re into filling your living room with shiny trophies. But for him, an award devoid of genuine merit is as worthless as a chocolate teapot. 🍫

And guess what, I’m totally on board with Emraan on this one!

Further into the podcast, Emraan spoke about his current rapport with Kangana. He mentioned that they’re still on good terms and share a great bond, even though they don’t catch up as often. So, no drama there, folks! Just good ol’ mutual respect. 🙌
