Arrey bhai, Bollywood is always giving us something to talk about, na? This time it’s Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s shaadi that’s got everyone’s chappals in a twist! And guess who has entered the scene to give his two cents? None other than the OG Shaktimaan, Mukesh Khanna! Let’s dive into this filmy tamasha, shall we? 🎬🍿
So, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot and instantly became the burning topic of every chatpati chai pe charcha. The social media ke trolls couldn’t resist calling their marriage ‘Love Jihad’. Enter Mukesh Khanna, who’s never one to mince words. Apna Shaktimaan bashed the trolls right where it hurts! He said, "Don’t view Sonakshi and Zaheer’s marriage through a Hindu-Muslim lens. What Sonakshi did was not a sudden decision. They have been together for 6-7 years before getting married. People are calling this love jihad. Love jihad happens when a girl’s marriage is forced."

Mukesh further added, “Can’t a Hindu and a Muslim marry? Many did so in our time and are happy. This wedding is a family matter for them.” Arrey bhai, pyaar kiya toh darna kya? Love doesn’t come with a religion tag. Jab Shaktimaan himself is saying, toh kuch toh logic hoga, right?
And then, we have Shatrughan Sinha, who’s convinced there’s a vicious smear campaign against his family. The gossip mills began churning when reports surfaced that Luv Sinha didn’t attend Sonakshi’s wedding. Bhai, “There was absolutely nothing to worry about. We were like any ordinary family with a wedding happening. Just why we became a target of so much attention, you will know better than me.”
For those living under a rock, Sonakshi and Zaheer have been an item since June 23, 2017. They even co-starred in Double XL, a film co-produced by Huma Qureshi. Zaheer, for the uninitiated, is the son of businessman Iqbal Ratansi, a childhood buddy of none other than Sultan of Bollywood, Salman Khan. Aur bhai, Salman ne hi toh Zaheer ka debut film Notebook ko back kiya tha! Wah re connections!
Sonakshi will soon be scaring us (or making us laugh) in Aditya Sarpotdar’s horror-comedy, Kakuda. Ab dekho, kya dhamaka karti hai!
