Today, we’re diving into the curious case of actors being swapped out in sequels of their blockbuster hits. Buckle up, kyunki yeh Bollywood hai, yahan kuch bhi ho sakta hai! 😜
Let’s start with our nawab, Saif Ali Khan. Remember the shockwaves when he was replaced by Bhai Salman in Race 3 (2018)? 😲 The man led the first two films, with Race 2 (2013) being his career-high at that time. Producer Ramesh S. Taurani spilled the chai, revealing that Saif was pretty miffed about the swap. Taurani called it a "business decision" since Saif’s movies weren’t exactly minting money at the box office. Ouch! 🤑
Moving on to the Khiladi, Akshay Kumar. His iconic performance in Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007) made the movie unforgettable. And then we have Nushrratt Bharuccha, who was the heart and soul of Dream Girl (2019) alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. But lo and behold, she was replaced by Ananya Panday in Dream Girl 2 (2023).
