Yeh kya baat hui, folks? Our very own Tapu from "Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah" is all set to take on a new avatar! Raj Anadkat, who kept us glued to our TV screens for five years as Tapu, is now stepping into the world of regional TV.
Raj, who exited the iconic show after 1000 episodes (yes, you read that right!), is now heading towards a new horizon with "United States of Gujarat" on Colors Gujarati. This show promises to be a mix of tradition, modernity, and oodles of Gujarati masala! 🌶️
The Stellar Cast & The Show’s USP
The show boasts an impressive lineup with Raj Anadkat, Sana Sheikh, Ragini Shah, Siddharth Randheria, Apara Mehta, and Vandana Vithlani. Raj will be making his Gujarati debut, playing the role of Keshav, a character inspired by none other than Ranveer Singh’s Jayeshbhai Jordaar. Talk about aiming high! 🎯
Raj Anadkat’s Transformation
Raj, in his own words, shared, “For my character, I took inspiration from Ranveer Singh’s character from Jayeshbhai Jordaar. When I first got the brief from the director, they told me that my character is like Dwarka’s Ranveer Singh – a bindaas, happy-go-lucky guy who helps everyone and is admired by girls. While shooting too, we kept adding fun elements to my character.”
Arey wah! Raj as Keshav is set to be positive, flamboyant, and full of life. Just like Ranveer, he’s ready to steal hearts with his bindaas attitude. 😎
Plot Twists and Turns
"United States of Gujarat" is about Kay (played by Sana Sheikh) discovering her roots and reuniting with her mother Yamuna (played by Ami Trivedi) and Baa (played by Ragini Shah). Raj’s Keshav will add a khatta-meetha twist to Kay’s journey, ensuring complete entertainment for the viewers.
