The actress, who has given us gems like Astitva, Maachis, Andhadhun and Maqbool, spilled some serious chai about her 1997 hit Virasat, where she starred opposite the ever-young Anil Kapoor. Directed by Priyadarshan, this movie was a blockbuster, and Tabu played the desi girl Gehna Thakur. But kya aap jaante hain, how she got that perfect village girl look?
Tabu’s Oil-Slicked Revelation 💁♀️
Tabu, in her chat with Zoom, shared a hilarious behind-the-scenes moment. Picture this: Priyadarshan wanted her to look like a proper gaon ki chhori with oily hair. So, the hairstylist suggested using a chota sa amount of gel to get that shiny look. But Priyan, being the perfectionist, wasn’t convinced. He came from behind with a bottle of coconut oil and whoosh, poured the whole thing on her head. Imagine Tabu’s face! 😂
Tabu laughed, saying, “This is what I mean by having oil in your hair,” he said. But it made life easier for her—no hairstyling fuss, just oil, braid, and ready in five minutes. Wah bhai, such punctuality!
Meanwhile, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, directed by Neeraj Pandey, stars Ajay Devgn, Shantanu Maheshwari, and Sai Manjrekar. It’s set to release on July 5, 2024. But hold on!
