Well, she didn’t just stop there. She also had some choice words for Nana Patekar and Dileep, labelling them as ‘narcissistic psychopaths’. Kya naatak hai, yaar! 🤦♀️
So, what’s cooking in the Bollywood tandoor? Tanushree, in her usual fearless style, slammed the Hema Committee report as ‘useless’. For those who are wondering what this committee is, it was set up to address sexual harassment issues in the Malayalam film industry. Yaad hai na, the 2017 incident where a female Malayalam actor was assaulted in a moving vehicle in Kochi? Haan, wahi case, with our ‘beloved’ Dileep being one of the accused.

Tanushree wasn’t mincing words. She said, “What’s the point of this new report anyway? Arrest the accused and enforce a strong law and order system. Vishakha Committee bhi bana tha, guidelines bhi diye the, reports bhi ban gaye, but hua kya? Committees ke naam bas badalte rehte hain.”

But wait, there’s more! Tanushree didn’t stop at calling the report useless. She went all out, saying, “People like Nana and Dileep are narcissistic psychopaths. There’s no cure for them. Only a vicious and vengeful man can do what they did. I don’t care about these committees. I have no trust in this system. It feels like with these reports and committees, they’re just wasting our time rather than doing the real work. Having a safe workplace is a basic right for a woman — or any human being, for that matter.”

She faced a lot of political and industry backlash. Nana, of course, denied everything. In 2018, during the #MeToo movement in India, she revived her allegations, revealing how her career was derailed after she spoke out.
