So, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba is making quite a splash again! But chalo, letâs be honest, the buzz isnât as dhamaakedaar as before. Our heroine Rani Kashyap (played by the fab Taapsee Pannu) is back, still obsessed with the pulp fiction writer Dinesh Pandit. Sheâs using her dimag to cover up her kaand with clues from these B-grade books. Ah, the life of a Bollywood diva! đ
Arre yaar, Dinesh Pandit is like that mysterious crush you had in schoolâcompletely fictional but so dreamy! In the Haseen Dillruba series, Rani Kashyap is such a fan of these books that even her pati Rishu Saxena (played by Vikrant Massey) starts reading them to impress her. And now, in the sequel, Sunny Kaushal enters as another deewana of Dinesh Pandit. Kitna pyaar, kitna junoon! đ
In the movie, Rani Kashyap is seen reading titles like â60 lakh ki Dakaitiâ and âHawas ka aatankâ. The first film was based on a Dinesh Pandit novel called Kasauli Ka Keher, and the sequel is inspired by Magarmachh ka aatank. Bolo, kya naam hai! đ
Everyoneâs asking, âWhere can we find these Dinesh Pandit books?â Well, doston, I have good news and bad news for you!
Bad news pehleâDinesh Pandit is as real as my love life, matlab completely fictional. đ Kanika Dhillon ne apne dimaag se create kiya for the Haseen Dillruba series. But thereâs good news too! While Dinesh Pandit doesnât exist, Hindi pulp fiction is very much alive. Writers like Surendra Mohan Pathak and Gulshan Nanda were the real heroes of the 90s pulp fiction scene.
No Hawas ka aatank or Kasauli ka keher for you, but you can still dive into gems like Ghaat Ka Patthar and Jalti Chattan by Gulshan Nanda, or Dilwali ki raat and Jaadugarni by Surendra Mohan Pathak. These books were the asli masala, hidden under pillows and read only after the kids went to sleep!
So, while no Dinesh Pandit exists, thereâs a treasure trove of pulp fiction waiting for you. Happy reading!
