New Delhi: So, our long-lost heartthrob, Imran Khan, has recently spilt the beans on how a television channel executive shamelessly swiped one of his story ideas. Yup, you heard it right! In 2005, after completing his education, Imran returned to India with dreams of becoming a director and writer. Acting wasn’t even on his radar back then. He put together a folder of his stories and, without telling a soul, pitched them to a TV channel.

In an interview with ‘Humans of Bombay,’ Imran shared, "The channel praised my ideas but then ghosted me. One fine day, an actress friend told me she had been cast in a role that eerily resembled the outline of my script."

He continued, "I went to meet them, and lo and behold, the script they handed me was strikingly similar to my storyline. They eventually admitted it and proposed turning it into an episode. I tried reaching out to them to ask what they did with my work, but they never responded."

Imran Khan Learns a Hard Lesson
This ordeal didn’t just change Imran; it also led him to meet Abbas Tyrewala, with whom he later worked on his debut film, ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na.’ Imran decided to give screen tests for a film, thinking that if he became a successful actor, he’d gain recognition and leverage his acting credentials to make the films he wanted. For a while now, Imran has been off the grid, dealing with personal turmoil with his wife and struggling to find suitable projects.
