Vicky Kaushal Brings the ‘Bad News,’ Dips His Toes in Comedy for the First Time – and You Won’t Believe Why!

Hey there, Bollywood buffs! It’s your girl, Bollywood Newshound Nisha, back with some juicy gossip straight from the glitzy world of Hindi cinema. Buckle up for some laughs, eye-rolls, and a dash of sarcasm!

Vicky Kaushal’s New Comedy ‘Bad News’ is Making Waves!

So, our charming Vicky Kaushal has decided to dip his toes into the world of comedy with his upcoming film, ‘Bad News’. And no, it’s not about the usual drama; this one promises a cocktail of laughs and romance. He’s teaming up with the talented Tripti Dimri and the charismatic Ammy Virk. Apparently, Vicky wanted to explore a genre that he hasn’t ventured into before. Because, you know, why not add another feather to his already crowded cap? 🤷‍♀️

Vicky shared his experience of shooting this comedy flick, and guess what? He felt right at home! He says, "Shooting this film felt like being at home. Working with Anand Tiwari and Karan Johar was fantastic, and the script was top-notch. The concept felt fresh, and it’s brimming with comedy, even though I haven’t done much in this genre as an actor."

And here’s a little tidbit about the director: Vicky couldn’t stop gushing about Anand Tiwari. "He’s not just a brilliant actor but an exceptional director, especially when it comes to comedy. No one does it better than him," Vicky said, probably with stars in his eyes. He added, "This was something new for me. The energy needed for the scenes came straight from the set. It felt like working with family, which was crucial since I’m not exactly a comedy veteran. So, I just surrendered to the process."

Enter Tripti Dimri: The New On-Screen Pair

Directed by Anand Tiwari and penned by Tarun Dudeja and Ishita Moitra, this film is brought to you by Amazon Prime and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, in collaboration with Leo Media Collective. Apart from Vicky, Tripti Dimri, and Ammy Virk, we’ll also see Neha Dhupia in a significant role. Because why not add more spice to this already tantalizing mix?

Mark Your Calendars!

The trailer, which was recently released, gives us a peek into Tripti’s character, Saloni, who’s pregnant and confused about who the baby’s father is. She breaks the news to Vicky, who’s over the moon about becoming a dad, only to find out she’s also committed to Ammy Virk’s character. Talk about a tangled web! The drama and comedy unfold from there, promising a rollercoaster ride of emotions and laughs. ‘Bad News’ is set to hit theaters on July 19. So, get your popcorn ready!

Alright, folks, here’s the moral of the story, Bollywood-style: In the land of glitz and glamour, never underestimate the power of a good laugh and a plot twist. Sometimes, the best way to explore new territory is to just jump in and let the chaos unfold. 🎬✨
