Rajkummar, with his beard and black shirt paired with a red tie, and Tripti in a green saree with reading glasses—total throwback feels! They start with, "Namaskar…Is waqt ki sabse badi khabar aa rahi hai maya nagri Mumbai se" and you’re instantly transported to the era of Doordarshan.
The promo even flashes the caption, “T-Series News…Bombay Samachar,” making us all go “arre yaar, yeh toh asli 90s ka scene hai!”
Rajkummar and Tripti’s Hilarious Banter
Tripti kicks off the announcement with a witty nod to T-series ka malik Bhushan Kumar and his iconic songs like Chaar botal vodka and Ma muradein meri puri kar de halwa batungi. She’s like, "Film ka naam hai, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video." Rajkummar adds his own tadka by introducing himself as the guy from Stree and then points to Tripti saying, "Aur jine dekh ke lagta hai pehle bhi main inse mila hu."
The duo wraps up by promising a trailer release on September 12, declaring, "ye film 97% parivarik hai aur 3% mahaparivarik." Matlab, you can watch it with your entire khandaan!
