Yup, you heard it right. Our beloved Anushka, known for her no-nonsense attitude, once slapped Ranbir Kapoor for real during a shoot. And no, this wasn’t scripted or a joke gone wrong. She was told, "Mat maarna yaar!" but kya karein, madam got so into the scene she forgot! 😂
Here’s how it went down. During the shoot, Anushka was supposed to give Ranbir a nice, filmi slap. The director said, "Bas acting karo, real slap mat maarna." But kya karein, Anushka was so immersed in her character she ended up smacking Ranbir for real. Aur bhai, Ranbir was NOT having it!
Ranbir, visibly annoyed, snapped back, “There is a limit to it. I told you not to do it; it’s not a joke.” Anushka, in her signature style, didn’t back down and asked, “Did I do it on purpose? Are you really upset?” Ranbir, patting his face with a tissue, vented, “Yeah, of course, you’re hitting hard.” But Anushka, unapologetic as ever, continued to tag this as Ranbir’s nakhra later in an interview. 🌟
In an interview with DNA, Anushka clarified, “They shot Ranbir first and told me to slap him for real. So, I did. But during my part, they said don’t slap him for real. But I got so lost in the scene that I forgot about it.” She added, “As soon as I slapped him, I was like, ‘Oh shit!’ And he was like, ‘Why are you slapping me for real?’”
Ranbir, still sulking, later said in another interview, “She whacked me once, she whacked me twice. She is a very organic actor, you know. She wants to give a very true performance. So she whacked me again.”
