Brace yourselves, Bollywood buffs! Khabree Kiran is back with another spicy scoop straight from the tinsel town garage!
Ah, UNindian – the movie where cricket met Bollywood in the most "un-Indian" way possible. Yup, you heard it right! Our very own Tannishtha Chatterjee and Aussie cricketer Brett Lee got all cozy on-screen under the direction of Anupam Sharma. 🏏🎬
Imagine this: an Indian single mom in Sydney, falling head over heels for an Australian bloke. Sounds like a typical masala film, right? But nope! This one’s got cross-cultural relationships, identity crises, and love complexities all wrapped up in one spicy burrito. 🌯 Oh, and did I mention the steamy scenes that got the Censor Board all hot and bothered? 😏
So, here’s the juicy bit – there was this one intense lovemaking scene that had Lee flashing his derrière while a guru chanted mantras in the background. Talk about mixing spirituality with sensuality! The Censor Board, being the buzzkill it is, asked Anupam to trim it. But bhaiya, Anupam went ahead and chopped off the entire scene! 😲
Tannishtha, reminiscing about her time on set, had nothing but praises for Lee’s professionalism and humor. "I had a great time working with the entire team," she said. "Martin McGrath, the genius behind Muriel’s Wedding, was the director of photography. Anupam was fab, and the Australia India Film Fund team was wonderful." Wah, kya baat hai! 👏
And let’s not forget the Bollywood song they did together. "Neither Brett nor I did the typical thrusts and heaves of a Bollywood song. But yes, there was a bit of dancing, and we both had a ball doing it," Tannishtha shared. Imagine Brett Lee doing Bollywood dance – ab yeh toh dekhna banta hai! 💃🕺
Interestingly, Tannishtha has also shared screen space with Hollywood biggies like Jude Law and Keira Knightley. Yet, she had a special mention for Lee, calling him one of the fun co-stars she’s worked with. Aww, how sweet! 🍬
For the sake of the film, Anupam advised Tannishtha and Lee to spend some quality time together before filming. Tannishtha played Meera, a single divorcee rediscovering love in a faraway land. Quite the emotional rollercoaster, I must say! 🎢
Kiran’s Gyan: Bollywood and cricket – a match made in heaven or a recipe for disaster? Well, if you ask me, it’s like mixing chai with coffee. It might sound weird, but hey, it could be the next big thing! So, doston, keep your popcorn ready because Bollywood never fails to surprise! 🍿✨
Stay tuned for more masala, only with Khabree Kiran!
