Picture this: Ajay Devgn and Tabu, two of Bollywoodâs finest, are back to tug at our heartstrings with their new film, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the movie promises a rollercoaster of emotions and is set to hit the big screens on July 5. But hold on, kya baat hai with their latest song, Kisi Roz? đ§
The song, sung by Maithili Thakur and composed by the legendary MM Kreem, has just dropped. Manoj Muntashir has penned the lyrics, and itâs the third track from the movieâs soundtrack. The previous songs, Ae Dil Zara and Tu, had mixed reactions. Tu was a devotional track inspired by Chhand, and Ae Dil Zara managed to touch a few hearts. But Kisi Roz? Hmm, not so much.
Hereâs the lowdown: Maithili Thakurâs voice, while unique, seems like a mismatch for the heavy-duty emotions that the song aims to convey. Manoj Muntashirâs lyrics are all about heartbreak and depth, but Maithiliâs folkish, unrefined voice fails to hit the emotional notes. Itâs almost like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. đ
MM Kreemâs choice of Maithili as the singer has left many scratching their heads. The songâs lyrics are laden with sorrow, yet Maithiliâs voice lacks the necessary pathos. Itâs like ordering masala chai and getting plain doodh (milk) instead. đ
The composition tries to lean towards a semi-classical style to accommodate Maithiliâs voice, but even that doesnât quite gel with the poignant words that are supposed to capture the pain of Tabu and Ajayâs characters. Kuch toh gadbad hai, boss.
Wouldnât a haunting voice like Jonita Gandhiâs, reminiscent of Ghar from Jab Harry Met Sejal, or Bhavya Gandhiâs soulful rendition of Ranjha from Queen, have been a better fit? It seems like the song missed its emotional mark by quite a distance.
Hereâs hoping Kisi Roz will make more sense in the context of the movie, but for now, itâs a bit of a dud on its own. đŹ
Kiranâs Gyan:
Bollywood mein talent ki kami nahi hai, but jab gaadi ka driver hi galat ho, toh destination tak pahunchna mushkil hai! Remember, choosing the right voice for a song is as crucial as selecting the right actor for a role. Varna, itâs like casting a comedian in a tragic role â bas rang nahi jamta!
Stay tuned for more juicy updates, doston! đż
