Who’s Gonna Be the Watchdog During Live-In Romances?

Arrey yaar, Bollywood mein naye naye masale ki kami thodi hai! Aaj toh baat karte hain hamare pyare Sooraj Barjatya ji ki, jo hamesha se hi family ke rishtey aur Prem ke kahaniyon ka raag alapte aaye hain. Lekin, ek time aisa bhi aaya jab unhone Salman bhai ko chod ke kisi aur ko Prem banane ka faisla kiya.

Sooraj Barjatya, the man who practically patented the ‘Sanskari Prem’ brand, shocked everyone in 2006 when he cast Shahid Kapoor instead of his usual partner-in-crime, Salman Bhai, for the lead role in Vivah. This movie, with Shahid and the ever-innocent Amrita Rao, took us through the rollercoaster of arranged marriage, making even the most cynical among us reach for the tissues! 💔

Now, during the promotions, some mohalle ka journalist dared to question, "Live-in ke zamaane mein, Vivah ko kaun dekhega?" But Sooraj ji, with the wisdom of ten thousand saas-bahu serials, simply asked, "Madam, how many people know what live-in means?" The journalist was left scratching her head, realizing she’d probably just been told to sound cool. 😂

Vivah did more than just survive; it thrived! With a modest budget of ₹8 Crore, the film raked in a whopping ₹54 Crore. Because let’s face it, arranged marriages and family drama? Humara toh national pastime hai!

Barjatya saab also had some thoughts about changing family dynamics. Apparently, in his days, telling your dad about your day meant getting a nod. But today, kids are like, “Dad, kal party thi, aaj date hai!” Times have indeed changed, but the heart of Indian families? Ab tak dil hai Hindustani! ❤️

Kiran’s Gyan:

Bollywood mein rishton ki chemistry aur box office ki math, dono hi ajeeb hain. Aajkal ke live-in ke zamaane mein bhi, arranged marriage wali films chali jaati hain, kyunki dil to sabka Hindustani hai na! Toh kabhi kabhi, purani cheezein bhi nayi chamak dikha deti hain! 😜
