Hello Bollywood buffs! It’s your favorite snoop, Khabree Kiran, back with another masaledaar tidbit from the glitzy world of Hindi cinema. Today, we’re diving into the legendary Kapoor saga with a twist only B-Town can provide.
Rishi Kapoor, the charming stalwart of Bollywood, had a knack for making headlines. Part of the illustrious Kapoor khandaan, Rishi left behind a cinematic legacy spanning five decades. But doston, did you know there was a time he went full-on Bollywood and touched the feet of Rajkumar Hirani’s maa ji? Ab yeh sunke toh sab ki aankhein phat jaayengi!
Rajkumar Hirani, our bhaari filmmaker, known for masterpieces like Munna Bhai MBBS, 3 Idiots, and PK, has always been the go-to guy for actors dreaming of that perfect role. His films, a blend of humor and hard-hitting societal messages, have made him a legend in his own right.
Now, Rishi Kapoor, known for his bindaas attitude and unfiltered opinions, was also a doting father. Even Ranbir Kapoor, the current heartthrob, has admitted to being wary of his dad’s candidness. But, he’s grateful for the doors Rishi opened for him.
In a throwback shared by Ranbir, Rishi met Hirani’s mother after Lage Raho Munna Bhai hit the screens. He wasn’t shy to show his admiration, touching her feet and expressing, “Your son is a genius, and I hope he works with my son at some point.” Now that’s some serious Bollywood drama, hai na? 😄
Ranbir’s first brush with Hirani’s cinematic magic was a cameo in PK. But the real dhamaal happened with Sanju, where the actor got to sink his teeth into the role of Sanjay Dutt, exploring the actor’s tumultuous life. This collaboration was a dream come true, not just for Ranbir but also for his late father, Rishi Kapoor.
Sanju released in 2018, and Rishi’s wish was finally fulfilled. Sadly, the veteran actor passed away in April 2020, leaving behind a void in Bollywood.
