Why ‘Flight Risk’ Shouldn’t Be on Your January Watchlist | Bollywood

Namaste, Bollywood ke deewano! It’s your favorite gupshup queen, Khabree Kiran, back with another spicy review straight from the masala-loving streets of Bollywood. Buckle up, kyunki yahaan drama hai, suspense hai, aur thoda sa ‘kya ho raha hai’ vibe bhi hai! Ready for the ride? 🚀

Flight Risk: Turbulence Ahead!

So, here we are, with "Flight Risk," a movie that’s trying to be a thrilling rollercoaster but ends up being like that bumpy rickshaw ride you regret. Starring Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Dockery, and Topher Grace, this film is a mashup of a U.S. Marshal, a fugitive, and a pilot who’s not quite right in the head—all crammed into one tiny plane. If you’re expecting fireworks, bas toh popcorn ke saath baithe raho, because this one’s a slow-motion crash! 🎆

Michelle Dockery goes all desi Lara Croft with her intense federal agent act, transporting Grace’s character who’s a fugitive-turned-witness against the mob. In comes Mark Wahlberg, our pilot with a twist—or should I say, a twist in the head! 😜 Aur kya kahun, the plane’s turbulence is nothing compared to the film’s tone. Ek taraf Dockery is all serious, while Grace seems to be auditioning for a sitcom, throwing out one-liners left and right. Wahlberg, on the other hand, channels his inner psycho, with a performance that’s more bizarre than Bollywood’s item numbers.

Now, let’s talk about the dialogues—yaar, what were they thinking? We’ve got bad puns flying around, and jokes about airlines that crash more than my Wi-Fi on a rainy day. There’s even a scene where Wahlberg listens to New Order’s “Happy Mondays” while plotting mayhem. Acha, bhai! Balding psychos bhi retro enjoy kar sakte hain, haan?

Screenwriter Jared Rosenberg, kya bolun? He seems obsessed with potty humor—seriously! Pee jokes and awkward moments abound in this one, making us wonder if the real risk is sitting through the movie without cringing. 🤦‍♀️

In a strange twist, Dockery’s character uncovers a conspiracy at the highest levels of government using only her cellphone while piloting a plane she can’t fly. Matlab, multitasking level: expert! And out of nowhere, she starts a cutesy radio romance with another pilot. Kyun bhai? Sab kuch toh hawa mein hai!

Director Mel Gibson returns after a long break, trying to steer this plane back on course. The camera work does capture some beautiful shots of Alaska’s snow-covered mountains, which makes you think, "Kash yeh movie bhi itni khoobsurat hoti." But alas, the film’s tagline should’ve been “Y’all Need a Filmmaker?” rather than “Y’all Need a Pilot?”

“Flight Risk” lands in theaters with an R rating for violence and language, clocking in at 91 minutes. And inna zero star rating, bhai! Watch at your own risk. 😬

Kiran’s Gyan:
Bollywood, let’s have a heart-to-heart. Kabhi kabhi, it’s okay to stay grounded. Not every flight needs to take off. Remember, zameen pe bhi bahut maza hai! 😏
