Deepika Padukone, our very own Piku, is about to grace the screen in the Telugu movie ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Playing the role of Sumathi, a pregnant woman, Deepika brings her real-life pregnancy vibes to Nag Ashwin’s ambitious sci-fi mythological drama. The film boasts a stellar cast including Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan. The makers recently threw a grand event in Mumbai on June 19, where our stars were all set to dazzle the media.
Hosting the event was none other than the dashing Rana Daggubati. He had some fun chats with the actors about their larger-than-life experience working with Nag Ashwin. Deepika, with her glowing pregnancy radiance, jokingly mentioned that she’s still stuck in her character. Talk about method acting, right? 😉

Nagi was there, and I was on the other end. Kamal sir is right, Nagi’s got that spark of genius. Even though it’s just his second or third movie, you can feel it. The script wasn’t much, but his mind? Pure magic!”

Our Jawan actress added, “Every time he speaks, and trust me, it’s rare, you can see his passion in his eyes. His vision for this movie is so clear, it’s like he’s painted it in his mind. That’s when he’s truly articulate because this project is his baby.”
